Home Lodestone Patient Care | PET/CT Patients | Frequently Asked Questions | What do the pictures look like?

Welcome to the PET/CT Image gallery. One of the most commonly asked questions from patients is "what do the pictures look like?"

Please note that within each image there are three views showing the same area of anatomy. The view on the left has a black background, this is the CT scan, the image in the centre has a white background, this is the PET scan. The image on the right is a colour image and is a fused image showing information from both the CT data and PET data.
This gives us the anatomical accuracy of CT and the high pathology-sensitivity of PET in one scan.
