Chief Executive wins Lodestone Lucky Dip

Tim Poole, Chief Executive of Carers Gloucestershire won the Lodestone lucky dip, which took place at the NHS Alliance Conference 2008 in Bournemouth.
At the conference, visitors to the Lodestone stand were invited to take part in the ‘giant tower block’ challenge. To be eligible to enter to lucky dip each participant had to remove one wooden block from the tower without it collapsing. If successful, they were entered into the lucky dip giving them a chance to win the giant puzzle for a children’s charity of their choice. The charity Tim nominated to win the puzzle was Gloucester Young Carers. Visit Gloucester Young Carers or view their comment.

Thanet MRI Centre Closure

The Thanet MRI Centre has now closed. The service moved to the Trust on 1 October.

New scanning centre opens in Brighton

Committed to bringing patient choice to the community, the Brighton Diagnostic Centre opened successfully earlier this week. Located in Preston Road, this centre is the sixth multi-modality facility to be launched as part of the Lodestone Patient Care network.
The scanning services available at the centre include MRI, CT, Ultrasound and X-Ray.

Of course, we wanted to let you know about Brighton Diagnostic Centre and decided to put out a few messages. We started with a press ad in The Argus and Brighton & Hove Leader this week (w/c 15 September) which launched a series of promotional activities that will continue for the next four weeks. The activities include topical health interviews with leading Brighton and Sussex based Consultant Radiologists on community radio station; Radio Reverb and a co-promotion with Brighton’s golden award winning Love Fit Café both starting next week (w/c 22 September) and our radio advert being aired on Gold Sussex from 29 September.
